This weekend, we fled to the seaside…
Ade took a well-needed break from tending the allotment, and I, a happy respite from pickling!
No courgettes for us this weekend, but fish and chips, eaten straight from the bag on the seafront.
No robin redbreasts eyeing up the worms in our freshly-turned vegetable beds, but seagulls, eyeing up our lunch…
We’d never seen so many hollyhocks. It seems they thrive on the Suffolk coast.
But now we’re back. Back in the city, and with a whole new crop of courgettes to eat up!
And to think we were lying here, just a few hours ago…
Good photos
