Today is the first day of spring, so long as you’re guided by the meteorological calendar rather than the astronomical calendar which says spring does not start until 20th March. As such, we’re very much ignoring the astronomical calendar today and cheering because… GUYS, IT’S THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING!
The crocuses are blooming in the garden and shoots are bursting through the soil in the seed trays on our window sills.
The sun has been shining a little more of late and even Agent Daisy has been spending more time outside, relinquishing her afternoon naps in favour of clambering up trellises and hiding in the undergrowth…
At last, we can all put the long, dark winter behind us and look forward to the milder season ahead.
Happy St David’s Day everyone, and here’s to a glorious spring! ☀️
Yes, I love spring. Our Daffodils made an appearance for St David’s Day today. Gorgeous.
