I’m not going to talk about spring.
I shan’t mention it again. Because whenever I do, usually after there’s been a glimmer of sunshine, or when I’ve spotted a daffodil, the UK is suddenly beset by gale force winds or snow or torrential rain (or all three at once), and it feels like we’re in the middle of winter again.
Easter was a washout. This weekend wasn’t much better. It seems that *whispers* spring is being particularly bashful this year and she needs a little coaxing out of her shell.
So, armed with my camera (thermals, umbrella and rain coat) I took a wander around the garden to capture some of her modest offerings, in the hope that she’ll soon be encouraged to step forth with a fanfare, and show us what she’s made of.
So she is definitely out there somewhere. But she’s not giving us everything just yet (such a tease!)
For the time being, we’ll just have to sit tight, keep the woolly jumpers handy and try to appreciate the rain while its here, because we all know that in about two months’ time there’ll be a hosepipe ban and we’ll all be complaining about it.
Have a good week, everyone! 🌧
