This month, we put on the brakes, slow the pace and lose ourselves to the quieter moments in the garden and on the allotment. While the birds sing and the bees buzz, we should do little more than enjoy their song. In a few months, these sultry days will be just a fond memory, as cooler nights draw in and we don warmer layers.
Yes, things are starting to look a little overgrown, the grass is parched and fruit trees are laden, heavy with sweet goods, but that’s no reason to run around like the White Rabbit. Sit back for a while. Enjoy it.
To help ease you into this carefree month, we’ve put together our monthly video to help you get the most from your garden. Aside from five very easy jobs to be getting on with, I treat you to a tour of our garden, give you the lowdown on National Allotments Week, shine a spotlight on sunflowers, and I even get to grips with a tromboncino. But between you and me, there’s a very persistent garden podcaster on the loose, and I don’t know what to do about him…
Great post and AWESOME video! Thanks for sharing!
