I’m not going to talk about spring.

I shan’t mention it again. Because whenever I do, usually after there’s been a glimmer of sunshine, or when I’ve spotted a daffodil, the UK is suddenly beset by gale force winds or snow or torrential rain (or all three at once), and it feels like we’re in the middle of winter again. Simple Things

I was so happy to see our snake’s head fritillary appear this week. She’s such a loyal thing, showing up at the base of our honeysuckle arch each spring, the one fritillary that came through after Ade planted some bulbs in the garden about five years ago. Continue reading “Simple Things”
